Human Resource Manager - Sydney

The Role
As Head of HR reporting into the MD of Shimano Oceania Holdings no two days will be the same. You will work across all companies, Fishing, Cycling, Holdings and the New Zealand Office. A true generalist position, involving Recruitment, L&D, Safety, Performance and management of the employee life cycle. You will work closely with the executive management team in the Sydney office as well as be a part of the Global HR team located in Osaka, Japan. Shimano’s Australian Distribution centre is based out of this site, so experience with both white and blue collar would be advantageous. This role is both strategic and operational.
The Duties include but are not limited to;
Advising Executive Management on employee relations and industrial issues, strategic and operational
Assist with Performance Management/ reviews
Manage full Employment Lifecycle, onboarding, KPIs, exits.
Coordinating and developing all team Learning and Development
Selection & Recruitment for all companies
Oversee all Work Health and Safety
Maintain and review Talent Reward and Recognition programs
Instructional design, training, facilitating workshops, toolbox talks
Management of teams files and updating on HRIS ( Bamboo HR )
Handling of all workers comp claims
The Successor
Minimum of 3 years-plus in a similar generalist standalone role or HRBP ready to take on board your own project
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources essential
Work Health and Safety and or Training qualifications advantageous
Experience with HRIS systems
Exposure to Blue Collar
You are a great communicator, can think on your feet and are happy to role up your sleeves to get things done.
