NSW Account manager - Sydney

BikeSportz are rapidly expanding and currently looking for a full-time team member to assist our Senior Account Manger in NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to be immersed in the sporting industry and utilize your sales skills in a fun and fast-paced environment.

We are seeking someone who is passionate and willing to learn with enthusiasm and a tenacious work ethic. Someone who also consistently brings new ideas to the table and strives to achieve their goals. The successful applicant must possess strong trouble shooting skills, the ability to communicate well and have a foundational knowledge of the cycling industry.

This is a full-time position with career development potential. Bikesportz will provide the successful candidate with full training in the company’s marketing and sales policies, helping unlock excellent relationship with our dealer network that is the cornerstone of the company’s success.

The successful candidate should possess the following qualities and skills:

  • A strong understanding of the bicycle industry, both from a retail and wholesale perspective.

  • A passion for cycling and for the brands we support.

  • Have excellent relationship management skills to support our retail network.

  • Proven customer service and sales experience.

  • Outcome focused, accountability and willingness to show initiative.

  • Competent PC skills and knowledge in Microsoft office.

  • A team player with a desire to learn.

  • Knowledge of the cycling industry is essential.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a remote working environment.

Job Purpose:

  • To build and maintain ongoing B2B client relationships with both existing and new clients.

  • You will be accountable for delivering excellent customer service to cycling retailers in your respective region, converting B2B sales to meet sales goals and KPIs, conducting product education, and undertaking problem solving for your clients where the need arises.

  • Your ability to identify and convert new business opportunities whilst building strong and effective working relationships will be integral in your success.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop strong relationships with existing and new customers and leverage these relationships to drive B2B sales growth.

  • Service accounts by obtaining and processing sales, contributing to the team by meeting KPI’s as set by head office.

  • Identification and analysis of customer needs to undertake product training.

  • Communicate key sales promotions and activations with customers.

  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations Management.

  • Establish new accounts through cold calling, area research and referrals. Focus sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.

  • Build a territory call/journey plan which includes time efficient customer visits based on sales opportunities and servicing new and existing customers.

  • Follow market trends and competitor activities in the territory and report back to Management on relevant information proactively. Recommend changes in products or service by evaluating results and competitive developments.

  • Perform Dealer Program audits biannually.

  • Maintain an accurate record of all samples within allotted territory.

  • Maintain an accurate account list and notify the Accounts Team of store closures and changes of ownership. Ensure key contact information for clients is maintained and up to date.

The position will include a company vehicle, phone and computer/tablet. All samples and necessary support materials are supplied to ensure you have all the tools required to succeed in the role.

Remuneration consists of a retainer plus commission and target bonuses on sales plus Superannuation.
