Program manager - Adelaide

Bicycle SA is the peak body for recreational and commuter cycling in this state. Our mission is to get more people cycling in South Australia.

We strive to make it easier for everyone to ride a bike. We believe in the benefits that cycling contributes to our health, wellbeing, happiness and for the environment.

Bicycle SA delivers the Bikes Palya program for kids and communities in the APY Lands and remote communities in South Australia. Palya means “great” in Pitjantjatjara. Bikes are Great. There’s something awesome about the thrill and joy kids get riding bikes in the outback communities of the APY lands.

Bikes Palya translates the excitement of cycling into learning opportunities for Aboriginal youth through programs that reinforce values of pride and responsibility while creating a healthy pastime. In schools where attendance can be very low, Bikes Palya aims to drive attendance rates higher and to engage with typically hard to reach youth through the power of the bike.

Bikes Palya are seeking casual bike instructors to support programs conducted in rural and remote communities within South Australia with the aim to support Indigenous children and families.

Do you like working with children, riding bikes, enjoy building tracks and jumps? Do you know how to fix bikes? Do you like to have fun while you are working?

We work in regional and remote indigenous communities over the school holidays. We are seeking reliable, organised individuals who can conduct professionally in various communities.

We have multiple casual jobs coming up all year round.
