The Role The APAC Marketing Specialist is responsible for coordinating all marketing activities for the Trek owned retail stores (DOTS) across APAC. This will involve daily collaboration with each market's Retail and Marketing teams, the APAC Retail Operations team, and the global Trek Retail team in Madison, Wisconsin. The role therefore requires a high level of project management experience, detailed communication and organisational skills, whilst also demanding strategic insight to drive better retail marketing outcomes for the region. The role is diverse and calls for a candidate who is able to multi-task, think on their feet and confidently work on a number of different projects at any one time, successfully hitting scheduled deadlines and success metrics. In addition to the Retail responsibilities, this role will take ownership for other APAC marketing projects, as well as supporting the Marketing Director on brand and product campaigns, and event activities. This position would ideally be based in Canberra at Trek HQ, but open to remote working for the right candidate. Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
Coordinate global retail marketing campaigns - working with the US retail team and the in-market retail teams to ensure campaigns have maximum relevancy and effect in market
Own and run the weekly APAC retail marketing meeting to ensure the needs of the APAC Trek owned stores are documented, implemented, and reviewed regularly
Manage APAC retail marketing campaigns. Produce marketing campaign briefings for the global retail team on local marketing requirements, managing the process from initial briefing through to campaign delivery and implementation
Support brand marketing and product launch activities across the APAC retail stores ensuring maximum exposure and footfall is generated
Create, maintain and distribute the APAC Retail Marketing Calendar to include: global and local campaigns, major events and product launches
Develop and implement the monthly marketing report for retail marketing activities across APAC
Manage the communication and promotion of Trek University from a regional level to support in-market teams are meeting KPIs.
Manage the Great Rides program and expansion from a regional perspective. Assist with research, design execution and implementation
Assist markets with new DOTS openings, and ensuring a regional standard is met to launch successfully.
Take responsibility for driving consistency of DOTS in-store marketing areas, ensuring a regional standard is implemented.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 5-7 years' experience in retail and/or marketing environment
A Degree or relevant qualification in Marketing or related field is preferred
Excellent time management and pro-active goal accountability
Outstanding customer service skills both internally and externally
Ability to work well and build sound relationships with multi-disciplinary teams
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision on projects
Highly organised and a good communicator
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
Familiarity with online content management tools
Social/digital marketing experience
Familiarity with google analytics, SEO/SEM and CRM systems.
Domestic and international travel of up to 4 weeks per year.
Professional experience with Asian markets and/or language skills is desirable.
